Geneva, Switzerland – Led Zeppelin fans were treated to a unique performance on Thursday 23rd March, as the iconic rock band’s music was performed by the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande. The concert, which took place at the Victoria Hall in Geneva, was the brainchild of renowned composer and arranger, Jaz Coleman.
Coleman, who is best known as the frontman of the post-punk band Killing Joke, is synonymous with rock symphonic arrangements from The Doors, Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones and more recently, Killing Joke (part 1). His reimagining of Led Zeppelin’s classic tracks, including “Stairway to Heaven” and “Kashmir,” were met with three encores from the sold-out crowd, including the debut of ‘Whole Lotta Love’.
The concert featured a 50-piece orchestra, led by conductor Bastian Stil, who brought a new dimension to the band’s music with their sweeping strings and booming brass sections. Coleman’s arrangements were faithful to the original compositions, but with a fresh and inventive twist.

For days I have been staring at the blank paper in front of me unable to write anything. How does one begin to convey this immeasurable sadness within? Or reduce the last 45 years into a few paragraphs?
