Buenos Aires, Argentina — Composer, producer and cultural visionary Dr. Jaz Coleman announces the launch of Club Malvinas, a new underground club night and travelling artistic platform dedicated to experimental music, visual art and countercultural collaboration.
More than a traditional venue, Club Malvinas is conceived as a living, evolving network — an autonomous space where musicians, visual artists and creative communities converge to develop unique performances and interdisciplinary work. Rooted in underground ethos and artistic freedom, the project aims to connect Argentina’s counterculture with an expanding global creative movement.
“It is an honour for me to invite the artistic community and the counterculture of Argentina to the inauguration of the Malvinas Club,” says Dr. Jaz Coleman.
“Forty-three years ago I had the idea of opening a ‘barbaric club’ in Reykjavik, Iceland — a vision that never came to fruition. This event carries great personal meaning for me, and for the three songs I wrote in Iceland in 1982 for the club that never happened. Club Malvinas is more than a club; it is a constantly expanding network of artistically inclined people.”
Operating as a travelling concept as well as a physical gathering point, Club Malvinas will function as a nexus for experimental artistic expression. Its core mission is to foster collaboration between disciplines, encouraging bold new presentations that blur the boundaries between sound, image and performance.
With Buenos Aires as its starting point, the initiative aspires to build a network that extends beyond national borders — linking underground scenes internationally while remaining rooted in artistic independence.
